This film gets a good recommendation from me.

But in the end, I found myself hooked by how Florence and Andrew make the overall tragicomedy romance work by sometimes not being able to say the right thing at the moment, all the struggling to think about the moment in front of them and the road ahead of their lives.

Movies like these remind me how effectively you can write and portray simple characters and deliver an engaging and understandable story. That said, the nonlinear storytelling model can sometimes work against how this film tries to balance romance, tragedy, and comedy. An acquired taste, I agree.

Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield deliver stellar performances in this sincere story about two simple people facing very realistic issues that would strain their romantic journey through the years; years that are told in a nonlinear narrative to try and explain their grief and desires.

In this unconventional love story, after an accidental encounter, Almut Brühl and Tobias Durand start a relationship together that is brought to challenge throughout their time as partners. Without knowing how long they have, they learn to cherish their moments together.
