You made me smile, Jaki! I came across the same word and had added it to my list of words to remember. Totally agree that it's a perfect description of magas.

Can't imagine anyone I'd rather walk with!

Wow! That's impressive. And yes, marvelous!

I love that! Zep describes it well: it is spellbinding. It looks so natural and at home in that location, too. Imagine coming upon that incredible sight as you walked that forest path. Thanks for sharing it (and the link to her site. Wonderful!).

Happy birthday, David! Some very special people born on this day -- my mother would be 105 today. (Special, yes, but she was never sent greetings by a groundhog, though.) Hope this has been and remains a super day for you.

We're grateful for that!

😄I had to look back to see what horrifying typo you were correcting. I hadn't even noticed it!

Oh! That doesn't seem very mini. The ones from my childhood in the PNW were all around 5 feet as I recall.

Wow! Roadside beauties. That must be lovely. Glad you can swipe them. Hope your transplant is wildly successful.

Ohh, my. I can just imagine (and remember) the fragrance.
How "miniature" are they? I've never seen minis before.
To my sorrow, lilacs are one of the wonderful plants that will not grow here😔. I hope you enjoy every fragrant moment of yours!

And even before Roy, there was Donald's father, who taught him to "be a killer." Imagine having that pounded into your head from adolescence on. Imagine the kind of father who would teach such a thing!

I love this scene. You're so fortunate to have such a view.
