Here in Austin, on the edge of the Hill Country, we have not escaped the flooding; at last report there were 7 deaths in contiguous suburban areas.
This Lisianthus is a testament to climate change. It was thriving in my garden when I took this photo 10 years ago; it no longer will grow here.

I was surprised to discover a family of beautiful skunks living under my deck. I'd never seen one before and didn't realize how large they are or how that tail looks like a black and white peacock when fanned out.
