Last night's Mariners and Tigers game went long because the Mariners were waiting until after midnight to win the game on my birthday. 🥰⚾🎂 #mlb #mariners #birthday

Tonight there is a mystery movie! I find these screenings more fun when I don’t do any detective work and avoid the Reddit post where people are figuring out what it is.

October movie #3 is Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022). Going into it knowing nothing except A24 released this and Pete Davidson is in it.

Scary movie #2 for October is Heart Eyes (2025). There is several 2025 films I was planning on revisiting for this movie challenge and I picked this one up from the library.

Starting October with a screening of Good Boy, the new horror film in the dog’s perspective. This one looks interesting and unique!

The goal is to do 31 films for Halloween, not all necessarily scary, but everything having that vibe.

Seated for a theater screening of Re-Animator (1985) which I’ve never seen before! Happy to be filling this gap in my cinema knowledge.

This afternoon’s film is The Lost Bus, an Apple release, so it’s got this limited theatrical release this week before streaming. Buzz seems good, but quiet.

Watched my 400th movie of the year today. I’ve never maintained this pace for movie watching before and it’s a bit exhilarating.

Got a 70mm screening of Oppenheimer today at Alamo. Excited to see this film presented this way, I’ve only seen it on a small screen once before.

Should be a fun screening tonight. Alamo is doing a 4k of Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge which I haven’t seen in maybe 20 years when I last did a marathon of all the NOES movies.

Went to the 40th anniversary screening of Clue last night where they presented it in the original theatrical style of only doing one of the endings at random. I saw ending B!
As someone whose only seen it with all three endings together via the home release, it was weird getting just one.
A ★★★½ review of Clue (1985)
What seems like common practice now, this adaptation of the popular board game takes all the fun elements of the game and builds an entertaining and clever film. With a stellar cast who all do a great...

Kiyoshi Kurosawa captures a sense of dread in some everyday objects, like a lighter or a puddle of water. Amazing film.
A ★★★★½ review of Cure (1997)
After watching Cloud earlier this month, I really wanted to explore more of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's films and the obvious choice was Cure, which gets hailed as a masterpiece. It did not disappoint at all. ...

I must mentally prepare myself when going to the theater for a movie like Smurfs. That, and maybe some alcohol.

The Friday night film is I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025). Such a strange franchise to choose to make a legacy sequel with. The first two movies are not very good.

Went and saw Ari Aster's new flick Eddington. He may be trying something different and not making a horror film, but don't worry! This movie is just as bleak, if not more so than any other film by him.
