I've been puzzled by the redemptions from the 2 Sprott #uranium ETF's the past few weeks, while URA has seen new units issued.
Perhaps some of their AP's liquidated a portion of their positions to participate in the $200M SPUT raise in late June. Mart sheds some light on this.

Overnight URA reported those 1.26 MILLION new units issued and their holdings indicate another 80K new units will this evening be reported issued..
URNJ reported 160K in redemptions... no changes at URNM

Was out on the water yesterday & didn't post, but today, although $URA did not report any changes in OS units, their holdings indicate they will tomorrow report about
1.2 MILLION NEW UNITS ISSUED!

Well there were some changes in the #uranium ETF's reported this evening.
URA reports 510K new units issued.. the largest single day issuance since early January.
URNM reports 510K in redemptions.
No changes in OS units at URNJ, but again, a few minor changes in holdings to bolster their cash.

Looks like URNJ finished the last of their rebalancing last Thursday (Jul 3).

I neglected to post over the weekend that neither URA nor URNJ reported any changes, but Sprott's bigger #uranium ETF did on Friday evening report 50K in redemptions..

I got carried away with other stuff... but I should report that overnight there were no changes in OS or holdings at any of the #uranium ETF's I follow...

Nice bump in SPUT (U.U and U.UN) at the close of the day. Decent volume of shares traded in the last 2 minutes of the day.

Long time coming, but nice to see Cameco breach the CAD$100 mark!! I recall sitting in my broker's office a few years back and him telling me it was going nowhere... sold it at CAD$14 for a CAD$20 loss.
Since striking out on my own, I bought a bunch at CAD$60 a while back...

URNJ reported 160 in redemptions.. & aside from the -1.09% in holdings across the board, they have obviously taken NUCLEAR FUELS (NF) out of the fold. I guess they feel it has outgrown URNJ

Any news about where they purchased those pounds? Any effect on the #uranium spot price? I don't have a subscription to UxC or Tradetech
No changes reported at both URA & URNJ. Sprott has not yet updated the data for URNM... maybe over the weekend they are putting the final touches on their upcoming rebalancing, some of which will be likely be popping up in the data over the next week or so....

So I've decided to track SPUT (Sprott Physical #Uranium Trust) since announcing that PP on Monday.
They got the cash from the PP today and purchased 650K lbs of #uranium with an implied price of US$76.89 / lb & still have US$182 million in the war chest to buy more next week!
Off to the races!!

This evening URA reported those 650K new units issued but no changes in holdings.
Both Sprott #uranium ETF's reported new units issued. URNM added 290K (+0.80%) and URNJ 500K, representing a whopping 3.52% increase in OS units!!!
It's been a long time since we've seen that kind of positive action.
