I bought this amazing book as a winter solstice celebration gift for my daughter. But the costs of Trump's tariffs on Canada mean it is now my gift to myself. And I am very fortunate. And looking for an independent bookseller in the US who will mail it to her. Hekate is a wonderful book.

You're wrong in stating that the current US presidential administration is run by people who are mentally ill. That denigrates the mentally ill. In fact, this administration is run by people who are ev-ill.

You're right that cats love bags, but that's not what the phrase "let the cat out of the bag" means. Back in the day (and maybe still so in some places), when people wanted to kill a cat, they would tie it in a burlap bag - or gunny sack - and drown it. So the phrase literally means "save the cat".

Still alive and still meddling in other countries' affairs. Sorry about that.
