So many things to say about how massive an intellectual idol Linda Williams was to me, how much her feminist scholarship on sex cinema, porn, pleasure, genre& embodiment made possible. Have been teaching her writing all term in class v much inspired by her work, The Carnal Screen. Vale LW 💔💔💔

This likely confirms that the decision to arrest him was made at the highest levels of government, a terrifying return to the policies of ideological exclusion last seen used during the heights of the Cold War. A very, very worrying precedent at the start of this government.
