I really can’t stop thinking about other applications of this comment on the article about the Afrikaner “refugees” not getting the support they hoped for in the US.
A comment on an article by Mr Spring Time. No profile picture, but he seems to have a number one medal, a trophy, a ticked ribbon badge thing, a number 50 and a number 10. Unclear if these are awarded by the site or Mr Spring Time has added himself. After four crying with laughter emojis the comment reads “the d*l do of consequences rarely comes lubed as the saying goes.” There are no likes, and no replies, which seems unlikely to last.

Woah. Our local MP abandoned her office and sent the police chief down because we held a Palestine vigil outside her door.

We wore Labor red and everything.

One story giving me life at the moment is that of the Determined Wombat. A new friend’s neighbour is piling up junk around their fence to deter the wombat from entering. Lo! The wombat is not deterred.
Be the wombat, I whisper.
There is a tall fence next to weeds and a dirt road. Despite what appears to be a barrier, there is clear evidence a wombat has dug through, because there is a gap and mounds of freshly dug dirt. An aerial shot over a wire fence shows a pile of old junk including random metal tyres and old concrete piled up.

I am heading back down under tomorrow, looking for my place of respite and permanence (Glynnis MacNicoll). I think someone painted dog poo gold on the pavement outside, I am unsure whether it’s a warning, a decoration, or a metaphor and maybe it can be all of this.

I am visiting my goddaughter who migrated here with her family so I hadn’t seen her since 2017. It’s a precious gift to have this time and there is also so much more to this sacred land than cars (on Navajo land)

A little mini water turbine attached to a usb charger in Helsinki.

I was having a bit of a blue ol’ day til I saw this.
There is a sign saying “water power generator HUGO #hugoEnergy” then a wind turbine symbol with an arrow to an empty battery symbol then an arrow to a cable. It also has “free usb loading” with an arrow and a usb iPhone charging cable coming out of it. Behind the sign in running water there is a mini water turbine with a mini house attached to it. The turbine is supplying energy to the charger.

Our wee regional pride event Queerobodalla went off yesterday - around 300 ppl and joy everywhere. Completely vollie-run, we got some $ from local orgs to pay artists. No pride in genocide!

Back in the forest today forcing a stop work after NSW Forestry has failed to uphold their own protocols re surveying for endangered species.
