When you find one you like, see if the shelter will let you bring your dog for a meetup first. My shelter even had a program where I could bring him home for a week before deciding but it was pretty obvious these two were going to get along
Basta rolling up on Karl in his dog bed; this is pretty early after I brought adopted Basta. Karl, full name Karl Barx, has a copper-like color with some lighter streaks. He’s an Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard mix with a tiny bit of beagle, according to the dna test we did. Basta is a pitty-looking boxer mix with mainly white hair along with patches of brown/brindle all over, which causes an adorable looking white streak between his eyes that accents his big dopey head. He’s a tri-pod, missing his back left leg. They’re my boys and they’re adorable Basta has now curled up in the dog bed with Karl
