Every millennial I talk to in metro atlanta hates driving and hates car centric infrastructure. It doesn’t matter. These opinions are ignored by those in power.

I am in my 30’s and I see no hope of seeing a bicycle friendly Atlanta while I’m young enough to enjoy it

Even with non-hostile admins, it has taken 20 years to begin work on the final section of the Atlanta BeltLine. It has taken 10 years to connect the BeltLine to the Silver Comet trail only 6 miles away and already connected by unused rail. I just don’t see how to not be a doomer about this.

Clearly all 6 want to. The only reason they wouldn’t would be if they actually fear delegitimizing the court and destabilizing the country. But they got away with overturning Roe without any real consequences so I’m not sure these are real concerns for them

Yeah we should be nice to Biden for doing less of a genocide than Trump. Leftists demanding no genocide were asking too much.

Couldn’t even get a 10 minute pre-approved speech from the uncommitted movement at the DNC but sure, the Dems cared deeply about Palestine

What would you have liked Biden to do about gas prices?
June 5, 2025 at 11:45 AM
Hopefully you’ll consider an EV for your next vehicle.

I hate Biden for a lot of reasons but global inflation caused by a pandemic is not one of them. Compare the COVID recovery to the housing crisis and you’ll see things went much better this time around.

The whole world experienced inflation. Under Biden, the US had some of the strongest economic recovery in the world. And inflation went down after the IRA passed.

I think forever wars are bad. The fact that the government fell so quickly after we left is proof that we were doing fuck all for 20 years and wasted $2T

Palestine is not a new issue that they felt was a good opportunity to hurt dems. Our support of Israeli apartheid and genocide is a long-standing issue that leftists have had. This most recent offensive brought it to a head, and politicians dug their heels in instead of listening to the people.

Why not apply this test to dems in power? When a majority of the country wanted to stop arming Israel, why didn’t they move in that direction? It was never even on the table.

Most Americans Want to Stop Arming Israel. Politicians Don’t Care.
The number of Americans opposed to sending arms to Israel has grown, month after month, as the brutal war on Gaza grinds on.

The leftists I listen to certainly credited him for ending the war. They were drowned out by Fox News saying he botched it.

My recollection is that people were generally ok with Biden until the genocide started. People defended good parts of BBB and his relations with unions, but were disappointed when he capitulated to the parliamentarian. But Biden is a devout Zionist. That was a hard line

Crazy to see him whining like this even after he guaranteed unlimited profits for SpaceX by ending all the cases against it and gifting contracts to himself. Buddy you’re just mad other oligarchs had the same idea as you!

I started working in high-performance computing because using computers for science is the only thing that interests me about them. But we have to put AI in essentially every proposal to get funding at this point.

They have a similar topology, but the way neuron activation works is extremely different. We have computers that more closely resemble the brain called neuromorphic computers but we can’t do a whole lot with them right now

But that illusion has found an audience that doesn't merely want to be tricked, they have seen a magician pull a rabbit out of a hat and are now dedicating their lives to speculating on the complex ecology that must exist inside the hat to support the rabbits inside, the magician be damned.
