This is truly mind-blowing. At first I only looked at the crack appearing in the foreground in the pavement, then I saw the sudden and fast movement of the earth in the distance and on the right. 🤯🧪⚒️

Composite shows four Hubble images in quarters. At top left is a crisp view of Mars in shades of orange, blues, and browns. At top right is planetary nebula NGC 2899, which is shaped like a single macaroni noodle, with its central torus appearing semi-transparent and blue and green, and its top and bottom edges in orange. At bottom left is a tiny portion of the Rosette Nebula. Very dark gray material shaped like a triangle takes up the center. At bottom right is barred spiral galaxy NGC 5335 with a milky yellow center that forms a bar surrounded by multiple blue star-filled spiral arms that wrap up counterclockwise.

#PPOD: This new NASA/ESA/CSA JWST image features a rare cosmic phenomenon called an Einstein ring. What at first appears to be a single, strangely shaped galaxy is actually two galaxies that are separated by a large distance. The closer foreground galaxy sits at the center of the image... 🧪 🔭
In the center is an elliptical galaxy, seen as an oval-shaped glow around a small bright core. Around this is wrapped a broad band of light, appearing like a spiral galaxy stretched and warped into a ring, with bright blue lines drawn through it where the spiral arms have been stretched into circles. A few distant objects are visible around the ring on a black background.

NEW HUBBLE IMAGE SHOWING A SUPERNOVA IN A GALAXY 600 MILLION LIGHT-YEARS AWAY!!! 🌌
In the exact center a supernova is visible as a small but bright blue dot. It lies atop the outer disk of a hazy-looking galaxy, which has a somewhat warped shape. Around this are a number of minor galaxies visible as glowing disks, and some points of light that are stars near to us, on a black background. A few bright stars hold X-shaped spikes that are optical artifacts from the telescope.
