I got bored so I wanted to make a piece with a ponder theme. I don't know I might make more. Introspection of the mind tends to create good fun.

Odd, it was odd. Self separated from self, it was a feeling so unfamiliar, I felt my mind drift and ebb through thought and pseudo-action. Forming and waning ideas and emotions, forgotten truths and friends, forgotten people and concepts. It was an ocean, raging and true, bluer than a cloudless sky. Floating, eternal and immortal. But within self I found a spark, a moment forgotten, a truth buried and thought dead. It was like looking into a mirror and seeing pure disconnect. My internal sense of self did not reflect the external, it was paradoxical, an odd idea bounded within my internal reality, formed to miasma of disdain and dysphoria. A thought formed and flowed apparent bringing forth the idea of change. If one changes thyself, would self still be self but now found with correct proportion? Or is self new and reborn upon the reformation? An odd question, bounded within internal dialect, formed from concept and truth. So what of it, questioning self, was that even possible, for one had to know self to question self. Was that false? What if self was merely the masque of something deeper and truer that forms us, is self merely a filter for human intellect; at truth are we beings masked by baser instinct? Within intellect are we found? Or is it something else, is it a part of soul or is it the formation of instinct and movement of being or the tempers? Although the tempers are found to be foolish and unfounded within body, are they still held in mind? For mind comes from body but also from reality, one reality that may be bent and formed by experience and vision of self and truth.

I've been thinking lately about doing some script writing, I do way better when it comes down to descriptive language but struggle a ton with dialogue. Might that be a viable solution?

No plaques in *any* of my WIPS! So we're doing ✨vibes✨ today.

From Book 1 of my Atlantis trilogy. This is quite a stretch, I feel, but oh well. 😅
The High King’s palace was a sprawling city within the city: a collection of tiered complexes that had been expanded upon over millennia, all connected by a web of bridges and stairs. Marble arches cascaded down like dripping wax. Airy colonnades, spacious balconies and curving staircases wove between towers and huge statues of gods and heroes. Gentle waterfalls tumbled down from every level, filling up pools that spilled over into more pools, watering the palace’s many gardens. Before the main entrance there lay a wide open courtyard, at the center of which stood an obelisk of vibrant red orichalcum carved with glyphs. Mireia knew, as every child raised in Atalantis did, that this was the Pillar of Na’aqa, upon which all the most ancient laws of the land were written.

His attention was broken by a small meep, and all turned to see Centehua now stood with a katana at her throat by Shoji, who had expertly singled her out as a noncombatant. Odysseus found himself not for the first time wondering what exactly would possess this fool Martian to abandon Shoji and Kyoko to something as idiotic as the Dance. “Now hold on.” Achilles said evenly, carefully outstretching his hands towards Khonsu and Shoji. “The initial intent was always to ask you to help us out, Ods. I was leading up to it, they just interrupted when you got...handsy.” “Do not call me ‘Ods’ and do not word it like that.” Odysseus growled, face darkening. There it was again, that insufferable smile. “So how about you hear us out and we all just chill?” Odysseus considered the boy, then the group and the situation as a whole. He decided their hearts probably were in the right place but that he was right in his assumption that they were all one flavor or another of stupid. He turned to Shoji, “What do you think? Shall we pity them?”

Writing Tip:
While you can (and should) absolutely do edits yourself, having a second pair of eyes will help find things you may have missed. We all have biases when it comes to our writing. Writers can often subconsciously ignore serious issues that need to be fixed.
