I think actually my favorite "You're doing better!" feedback I've gotten has been being compared to Eeyore again for the first time in years, and then being told "But you're so much less like Eeyore than when we first met you!"

Ohhhh and don't even get me started on the hypocrisy and double standards which they then turn around and pretend never happens.

To Clarify:
They didn't give me C-PTSD, they just keep re-activating it. Treat me awful and make rude comments about everything I say or do under their breath, while also trying to hit me with constant restrictions and ultimatums. Being infantilized, belittled and gaslit daily does a number on ya.

Instead, it turns a complex issue into a shallow performance, one that distracts from the real work of changing how we consume art and how we value the people who create it.

Worse, it doesn’t actually ask people to change anything about how we address the real structural problems tied to AI, like capitalism’s grip on art, labor, and culture.

That framing is not only exaggerated, it dilutes the meaning of fascism itself, at a time when we’re facing a very real fascist threat in the United States.

But this new awareness campaign going around claiming that “AI is literally a fascist project” is exactly the kind of empty rhetoric that frustrates me.
