Last week, U.S. Forest Service Chief, Tom Schultz, announced plans to turn more national forests over to state management. Our national forests will basically be gone under this plan.

How are national parks funded?

Appropriations laws are passed by Congress and provide federal agencies with the authority to spend money. Currently, national parks take up less than 1/15 of 1% of the federal budget.
