There’s an argument to be made about living in a system that forces car ownership, but I continued to be shocked by how entitled we feel to free parking. There are immense costs related to this kind of land use. Making it free would cause a lot more problems than it would solve.
There is a special circle of hell for people who have normalized this level of greed. This is a hospital.

It’s kind of hard to take this dogpiling seriously when y’all don’t even know that it’s very common for Maine students to attend private schools because their communities don’t have public schools. 90% of John Baptist students’ tuition is covered by their towns.
'authentically working class' is dumb in all kinds of ways - not least because it means 'white men' most of the time - but about a guy from an upper-middle-class family whose grandad was major American architect and who went to prep school is, well, dumb as shit.
No I do not support all working class people, some of those assholes are very dumb

It’s interesting to see the internet comment on my state’s politics. As far as I can tell, there’s still only one candidate who aligns with my policy interests and only one candidate that’s been pulling massive crowds across the state.

Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
