From the Office of the Mayor on October 8th:

I guess Mayor Sim will ignore the promise to protect Arts & Culture.

Pretty hard to believe anything in his memo moving forward.

I was proud to take part in the 17th Annual Hunters Cup fundraiser in support of the Chris Lesanko Rehabilitation Fund. This event is a reminder of how sport can bring people together for something bigger than the game itself.

Also great to see PoCo Councillor Glenn Pollock supporting this event.

Wishing the New Westminster Salmonbellies the best of luck in Game 6 this Friday at Queen’s Park against the Six Nations Chiefs. The Bellies have a proud history and it’s been since 1991 that they last lifted the Mann Cup. Time to bring it home!

Thrilled to see the renewed playground at Tatlow Park now open! A Kitsilano favourite has been reimagined with more play options, better accessibility, and a fun nod to Tatlow Creek. Huge thanks to the Riley Foundation for helping bring this to life.

It was a pleasure watching Phil “The Wizard” Kim break dance at the 17th annual KitsFest this weekend at Kits Beach! 🎉

A big thank you to Howard Kelsey and Ron Putzi for all the hard work in bringing this incredible event to Kits year after year. 🙌 #KitsFest #KitsBeach #CommunitySpirit

@brennanbastyo.bsky.social and I were proud to attend the inaugural Astro Arts Festival this weekend in Mount Pleasant.

We’re committed to supporting and growing arts & culture in our city, and events like this show just how vibrant our community can be.

I love sitting and watching the duckling in the pond at Avenue One by Concord Pacific. This is what summer in Vancouver is all about.

It was an honour to play in the Stee and Huuyah Baker Memorial lacrosse tournament this past weekend with the North Shore Indians at their new covered arena.

Thank you, Simon Baker for organizing and being a great teammate.

What an incredible day at the Concord Pacific Dragonboat Festival.

Inspiring athletes all day, interactive festival grounds, and memorable performances by #FelixCartal and #Lights to end the night.

It looked and sounded great tonight when the orchestra open the 90th season at the Kitsilano Showboat!

What a day!

• Promotional photos for the imminent opening of Kits Pool.
• Batch 1st Anniversary + Patio launch + DownLow Chicken Partnership announcement.
• 90th season of Kitsilano Showboat - opening night.

So many great memories are about to be made this summer in beautiful Kitsilano!

Wow! This is significant news. @kareem42.bsky.social is the architect of the inspiring ABC promises that the mayor has failed to fulfill.

In my experiences with Kareem, he was always about bringing people together.

Visited both the Bloedel Conservatory and VanDusen Botanical Garden today.

Following the approval of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Access Pass at last night's Park Board meeting, self-identified Indigenous individuals can now access the facilities free of charge.

Look at the size of this tree that fell during a violent windstorm last autumn in Stanley Park!

I truly appreciate the professional arborist and landscapers that work at the #Vancouver Park Board, who keep this park beautiful and safe.

The Park Board is out beautifying our neighbourhoods. If you see these signs or you see the gardeners, give thanks for the work that’s done that makes our city so beautiful.

Just another reason why I’m grateful I’m not with @vote4abc.bsky.social anymore.

ABC happily embraces the hateful, divisive politics of far right wing Conservatives.

Looks like Ken Sim has been caught with his pants down again.

Maybe if he spent more than 33% at work he’d be better prepared.

I was disappointed that the safe sports funding at last night’s meeting was not passed with unanimous votes in support.

Neither Commissioner Howard nor Virdi voted to fund this initiative

@vote4abc.bsky.social has quickly walked back their support for children and participants since being elected
