The Bible is a more interesting and enlightening read if you understand that “God” is a human invention and never really existed; similar to reading and appreciating Greek mythology while knowing the ancient Greek gods never really existed either.

In many cases, such as writing books by Sol Stein, the author’s background and experience as a successful writer and editor is worth quite a lot.

This movie was a huge disappointment for those of us who grew up with and knew the original ST series. It was nothing like the series, with the exception of DeForest Kelly’s performance as Dr. McCoy.

String height at the 12th fret is the first thing I’d check on a new guitar. If it’s too high pick another one.

Mertz is great, no doubt about it. I play many of his pieces. That said, there are so many first-class composers for the guitar I’d have a hard time picking the best one over others.

Library cards are ridiculously inexpensive, but the education they afford is invaluable.

This is especially true when the little finger curls into the palm as the “a” finger plucks the string. If tension holds the little finger curled in, it tends to also keep the “a” finger from moving out to a ready position for its next stroke.
Of the tutorials I’ve seen, only one mentioned this.
