To be fair, philosophical confusions are productive if they lead to further questions that can be tested empirically

For example, “what is time” could lead to questions such as “do all clocks in the universe tick at the sam rate” & that’s a question we can answer scientifically.

Stare at that question for a minute and if you’re confused, know that you’re bewitched by language (and not peering into a profound question).

In fact, apply the same logic to “true” and “essence” and you’ll find that we’re applying these words to contexts they’re not well-defined on.

What do we even mean by “true essence” in context of “time”.

for example, “what is time” doesn’t and shouting have a single answer.

Time is simply the multiple ways we use the word for; we can’t peer beyond the contexts in which the word is used to find its “true” essence.

Real understanding requires intense effort.

Anyone who is automating away their thinking to LLMs is setting themselves up to feel increasingly helpless in future.

What tickles me is that NONE of the researchers (below) at Lossfunk hold a PhD. The beauty of blind review is that your work is judged on its own merit. The reviewer doesn't know whether you're a second year undergrad or Yann LeCun.
