Sideways movement reduced but increasing variable bounce. Time out of the game *almost* as important as runs I reckon. #WIvAUS

Hottest ever March 24 in Perth today with still some time to run before it starts going down. Could well sneak into the top 10 late March* hottest ever days.

*(I am arbitrarily defining 'late' March as all days after and inclusive of the 20th)

Test cricket is now well post the "let everyone play" period & into the "weird niche that remains inexplicably popular in Australia, and to a lesser extent England" period. Thus there is an ever expanding new category of stat: Records that will never be broken. #1 for consideration:

7 for 52 for Corey Rocchiccioli this morning at the Gabba. I am making this the 2nd best ever figures for WA offspinner in first class cricket for the state behind Roo Yardley with 7 for 44 against SA at the WACA in 1977.

Anyone else finding having Robbie McGregor back announce ABC Sport unsettling in a way? Crossing the streams between a satirical universe and the real one.

I keep expecting him to throw to the JJJ card table on the halfway line.

I assume this guy who hopes the property 'may or not fall into the Ocean in his lifetime' didn't bother to check Google Earth before he buying:

8 - 23 metres
3 - 15 m
1 - 9 m
It'll be gone 5 years max. Could be in a year or 2

I have so much to do at work. There are so many huge issues in the world to contemplate, even be part of the solution. Meanwhile here is me: *click* *click* "Wow, did Scott Prestwidge really only play 3 first class matches?"

The idea the rate of climate denialism is greater in Australia than the US, (and Poland!?!), and only 2% less than SAUDI ARABIA FOR GODS SAKE, is simply not credible.

Only 60% of Australians accept climate disruption is human-caused, global poll finds
Exclusive: French survey of 26 countries finds fewer Australians than global average agree that climate change is the greatest health threat facing humanity

Obviously no-one is going to mess with (retirement age) Peter Costello again. Guy can put fit young men on their arse one handed on the near side with such mighty core strength he doesn't even move off his line..

There is something vaguely satisfying about how flat, without in any way being direct about it, the English commentators on the
#T20WorldCup radio feed are that Oman ended up getting not consolidating their early advantage against Australia.

Australia has only successfully chased over 280 in a test match 14 times since 1877 and Pat Cummins has hit the winning runs in 3 of them.

Well it was a obtuse and unfunny reference but a good call position of the game wise.
They said using a Kubla Khan reference in order to contextualise a match as being in a similar position to early in the 4th innings of the '99 Hobart test could not be done..
