Greg Olsen is the NFL’s mom. He just loves pointing out everyone is doing great and here’s why it didn’t work this time but that’s ok, you can’t see every throw every time. Gotta love mom.

It is clearly a game about that day, the day of the incident, and finding purpose in grief (through forklift operation). Shenmue is also the reason Travel Agencies barely exist anymore after it portrayed them as untrustworthy and ineffective.

Well, can’t unsee that one. Confirmed: Baker just wants freedom from pants; shovel pass failed distraction.

Moonlighter is a nice shopkeeper game where you go into dungeons for items and sell them in town, it’s $4 on Steam right now. I think Kentucky Route Zero is a pleasant, narrative point and click, though some of its themes might rile up the blood.

I am switching back to stick now that VF is coming back. Beyond excited.

Nier: Automata. It would be hard to pick a favorite otherwise with years of Final Fantasy and Persona to choose from, plus bangers like Celeste and Furi. But no. It’s Nier: Automata.

Only to be reborn into a simulation made by an AI Pinocchio named Chadley, who also seems to have a self-manifested female presenting form named MAI that might have a crush on the protagonist. Anyway, then I rode a dolphin. Good stuff.

I was talking with my best friend about this. Guarantee that we will eventually see early AI art reproduced by people similar to still life works. The first person who does it well enough will be praised endlessly with their MoMa series “Humanity”.

After Labor Day?! Knee jerk reaction when I turned the game on? I thought we were the Colts for a second.

That’s funny, I see a dragon that decided to squeeze into tiny armor with a cat pauldron wearing a garish feather cap. Just out there proving dragons are “serious business you all, come on!” Which one of us is right?

Stunning work! I’m not familiar with the series but the art here is spectacular. The author should be thrilled, I’d be buying that off a shelf for your work and hoping I liked theirs too.

The original Simon came out in 1978. Apparently, and holy crap here, it had a midnight release party at Studio 54. I’d argue video games have evolved to Bop It Extreme at this point (1998).

I’m finally sitting down with FFVII Rebirth despite owning it for months. It’s charming! It feels like a game where the more open I am to its excesses, the more I enjoy it. Cool to see people giving Nine Sols some time, it’s a nice little treat.

Garland is incredible at creating at least one sequence that is so affecting it just starts living in your head rent free. His work is all the parts of a natural disaster; his ideas and imagery bring both the devastation and the squatters, then he leaves the aftermath for us to clean up.

New Monster Hunter and this next year?! With maybe Virtua Fighter and that Sifu Soccer game?! It’s a gaming family reunion, all those long lost friends showing back up. Exciting stuff.

Actually 3! This is great for the 2/3rds of me that can’t choose and the 1/3rd of me that’s gay.
