this could be enforced at the appview/client level right? removing all !no-discover users from all feeds that the user does not follow (yes 3rd party client/appview's could ignore this). it seems better then leaving it up to feed authors at least

i disagree, the only crypto that people are exposed to is headlines about ftx
, anoying cryptobros, and their uncle who lost all his money on dogecoin. avoiding censorship and sanctions aren’t immediate use cases to everyone, nor is how to use it safely without supporting the (evil imo) big players

fyi you can migrate back to a bsky pds now.
i have seen them say they will host their own appview with diff moderation.
thanks to did’s and pds backups you never have to trust anyone 100%, but luckily you will be able to use their appview and client without migrating to their pds

atproto is the perfect network for portal to make a comeback, it kind of means the same thing as appview in a literal sense with added 2000s technological mysticism (with shared history and understanding of it being a web frontend)

so streamers videos appear under their own url but are still hosted by you, is this similar to leaflet? it sounds like there needs to be a word similar to blog or website but for videos then, since this is isn't really about software or hosting anymore but the content and 'place' on the internet

it seems quite unlikely anyone will host the EXACT same bundle, they will always have tweaks or point at different app severs, otherwise why bother (+ it’s against the terms and etiquette to not change the brand)
