you have to live
would be great if people stopped spreading atproto misinformation (this is being worked on and there are ways to add private data)
Without scrapping the entirety of ATProto, there really isn’t a way.

It’s not so much a “they’re too lazy to code this” problem as it is “if they do this, they are inadvertently endangering people who believe their content is private when at best that privacy is a polite request to clients”

i think maybe conversations would be more productive if people gave less reality to words that weren’t said and give more reality to words that were said and their own words that they would like to say

If Bluesky doesn't ingest you, your posts never even enter the dataset. It's like letting you customize playlists while Spotify quietly swiss-cheeses your library.

I'm not saying this is going to happen. I'm saying it's likely to happen, if these dynamics continue.

if u get the PDSls repo to 100 stars i delete it on GitHub
on the appview side, we now have a new swanky Trending 📈 section in the timeline! the algorithm is pretty simplistic for now, but it should be fun to see popular repos!

the settings page also received a much needed overhaul!

could i use the atproto did documents (and the contained signing key) to get a free semi-decentralised user and login system for some non-atproto software i’m working on. sounds way easier then dealing with oauth
