oh yes, of course! when one is baking chocolate chip-short bread to celebrate nvidia earnings (of course!) my recipe for sablé dough is unnecessarily large. it is a megacap and all. so for the week-end i am baking off the balance

Interesting early RPO strike on the 1859 1-cent. Gray catalogue QC-425, "Quebec & Richmond - Section G.T.R." known used from 1863-73

I like the Aruban over in Boston and I show you this not to indict, only to illustrate and without loss of generality.

A pile of drafts drawn on a variety store in Burford. Little village out in Brant that was then primarily (and kinda still is) engaged in raw leaf tobacco, an industry few much mind is supply-managed. Don't worry about it. For our purpose today, that is a nice use of the scarce 6-cent excise coil.

if you've got a real 10-cent black brown laying around (i know, i know…) the difference will be obvious. this modern paper is blue-white and looks much brighter. the shade is off and the impression is worn and blurry.

interesting forgery of the 10-cent consort, but clearly a forgery. this is not recess printed. observe the spray of yellow dots in the white fields fingerprinting this to a digital printer.

i am too negative i think. venezuela. venezuela is a good one. this is the first emission of the "escuelas" issue, 1871. 2 reales in deep rose. the note the lack of a country of issue. antonio guzmán blanco made public education free and compulsory, and funded it through a documentary tax.

Here is the bond payout table. Central pressure is down to 933mb. Breaches below these levels in a square would trigger a 30 per cent loss of principal. The squares add up, if it tracks through more than one.

while i admire the JP Morgan Death Star, it is exactly as fearsome as a bank ought to be, everyone must see the trading floor that the Banque Nationale has installed in the Édifice Sun-Life

Once again asking you to *check* those pages of Nicaraguan Seebecks before you sell them for a penny per each.

One other item in this pile we should consider. These are early Québec registration stamps. Very early, actually. These were from the First Ottawa printing (1871-1873), you can tell from the razor-sharp impression, deep colour, and "silky" stout horizontal wove paper (it's Duckworth #10).
