Tok doesn't inherently care about honor. To him it's just a pretty word. Actions and results matter more to him. Below is a snip about that exact thing:

For a time, they walked in silence. The lord could only assume that she was leading him to a place where they could speak uninterrupted. After a safe distance, she turned off into a room that Tokonus remembered far too well – Rodderick's old study. The room had long since been cleaned and organized, and yet the smell of blood haunted Tokonus, although he knew it wasn’t truly there. “I assume your mind has been churning or you wouldn’t have brought me in here, so what have you figured out,” Tokonus asked as cooly as he could. “I do not think that [redacted] is lying... and as much as I hate to say it, I think that we should take up his offer.” Othelia shuffled in place; it was hard to tell if she was on board with her own idea. When her eyes locked with his, it was almost as if she could read his thoughts and had prepared a suitable defense. “I haven’t gone soft; I don’t think that we should accept unconditionally, but [redacted] is an asset and as long as [redacted] doesn’t prove to be a liability then taking them on is worth the risk.” “That’s not good enough,” Tokonus countered, shaking his head. “There is a reason you believe him and I would like to know why. You have to be one of the most distrusting and calculating people that I know, for you to take the Abysmal’s words at face value does not add up.”

Tok wouldn't understand this meme at all, but Duggy would find it funny. Although not a nihilist, he would find the inevitability of adversity portrayed in such a silly/cute way at least chuckle worthy.

A promise to share her thoughts unfiltered was not what he wanted, but Tokonus had to admit that it was progress. That did not mean that she was off the hook. Moving in on her, he placed his hands on her waist and pulled his lady close. “I trust you, I’ll let you have your way – but don’t make me ask later. I wouldn’t want any static to build up between us now.” Tok moved to deliver a kiss to Othelia’s forehead but was impeded by a row of her fingers. “Now Lord Tokonus, just because we are alone does not mean you can perform in just any fashion. I promise I will tell you what you want to know, but we must have decorum when we are together.” Othelia gave him a gentle smile as if to show that she was not rejecting him entirely, but the lady did not give in either. “Besides, we’re not done. I said before that we could not accept the offered terms without conditions and I meant that.” The Lukshen lord accepted the rejection on the outside gracefully but was not as well put together inside. The comfort that came from their new physical relationship wasn’t something that he had ever experienced and now he wanted more. Othelia was correct to say that they had other business, but that didn’t stop him from wanting to ignore it. There would always be another problem, another task. Silently, he threw his tantrum, but verbally he agreed. “That you did, which can only mean that you have already come up with what you would ask for in return.”

Tokonus’ eyes drifted over to Othelia while lowering his shirt. She did not see him, not with her head turned away as if she was lost in thought. It was very likely that the lady was recounting what she witnessed. There was no doubt that Othelia had been a bit shaken up by the altercation, but it took no time for her to return to her normal calculating self. To an unflattering degree, Tokonus wished that the moment of uncertainty had lasted longer. It would have given him an excuse – “There is nothing that I can do for him.” Tokonus hadn’t even registered who had spoken until he turned to the sound. Of course, his mother had been looking over [redacted] as requested. “I did not think that I had killed him, he was breathing to be sure,” Tokonus replied with a hint of concern in his voice. “No, it had nothing to do with what happened between you.” Sepera rubbed at the bridge of her nose, frustration so loud that you might have thought she had announced it to the world. “This young man, I can heal his body, but that is not where his problem lies. It is as you suspected, he is not sick... not in the traditional sense. His body is a host and what he is entertaining... is an Abysmal.”

I paused and put my phone down, closing my eyes to calm down. There was a reason that the electricity came on, there was a reason that there was an access point. Shit, there had to be a reason that the shit was unlocked in the first place. If I kept calm, if I just went back and checked the places I had not looked, I would find something. ‘blah-ding,’ my phone cried. I nearly jumped from my skin when the notification chime came through. It didn’t seem possible, but as I pulled down the system tab, there was no doubt about it; ‘new message request’. It was an alert from GenNow. I didn’t hesitate, I didn’t ask questions, I accepted the message request to get to the bottom of this. If they were really a scientist there had to be at least a hundred different people, they could have contacted. I couldn’t imagine what was going through this person's mind. This was the part of the movie where I would hit accept, find out some shit I wasn’t ever supposed to know and then wind up the sacrifice for some white savior. The good news? I was alone and there weren’t any particular living white people around for me to make such a mistake. The bad news, however, was that I was a big dumb idiot that accepted anyway. Before her head could fully incline, the chancellor began to speak again, “Portlight, or Elvada’s Portlight as it is truly known, is the land south of the Lumberlans. Before there was ever a Dawnleaf, the port was established, and it can be said that it is the seat of authority for the Grey King. Lady Constance holds the blood of the first Lady of Portlight, Elvada Perigold. Lady Elvada was said to be a master with a blade and carved out the savage lands, building strong roots that grew into the majesty that is Portlight today. To immortalize her, her achievements and the line that preceded her, King Trellis Greyhide saw fit to grant her the seat of a noble and name the land after the soldier turned lady.” The mystery lord had been revealed, Lady Constance, another potential enemy. From the way that Russel told it, if Constance was even half the warrior that her ancestor was, the lady would be a formidable foe. Esthan was enough of a problem on his own, having the pair attack in tandem would undoubtedly lead to ruin.

“Feelings aside, is justice not due? Are we to allow these monsters to run rampant without answering for their crimes,” Tokonus asked hunching over in his chair. It was true that he felt responsible for fixing the past, but who knows what harm the Burgundy Boys could do in the future. “They are monsters, they are foul and they should be put down.” “Do you enjoy killing?” “Wha-,” Tokonus felt his voice catch in his throat at her sudden question. “Of course I don’t. I believe I am better than a beast and I am certain a beast would not bring themselves to take life for their own amusement.” “If not for entertainment, then why are you seeking death now? I told you that I do not care to seek revenge, that should be the end of it, but you push for violence where it ought not be found.” Sepera sighed and looked away from her son. “What I have done wrong cannot be overstated, in this there is no question, but you have taken back your life from me. You can no longer use me as a crutch and if it seems like I am being cruel, I am sorry, but this is what it means to carry one's own life.” Tokonus placed his face into his hands overwhelmed by what he was hearing. It frustrated him that he did understand what she was trying to say. It angered him that he did not feel convinced. It sickened him that he could not make up his mind. The lord had come to his mother because he believed that she would champion the decision to hunt down the mercenaries. As it was, she agreed with his rational mind that hunting them down was useless. What tossed Tokonus further was that he was not lying when denied that killing brought him joy.

Seven years old, Halloween of 97’, and pops had just sifted through my sweets to make sure no one decided to give away free marijuana samples. Dollar store Spider-Duggy was tired from walking around looking for apartments that were actually participating in “The Devil’s Holiday”, but he wouldn’t go to sleep without a bit of sugar. At the time I was promised one piece before bed, and I would have to save the rest. So, I spread the treats out on the table and began to group them up. First was nasty, then off-brand, followed by lollipops, and lastly chocolate bars. As if any person needed to be reminded, name brand chocolate bars were the ultimate score for any Halloween run. Sorting was the easy part, deciding what would be the first and last piece of the night was the truly daunting task. Solid milk chocolate, crispy cookie bits, peanut butter core – there were only about six or seven pieces to chose from, but you might as well have been asking SpiderDuggy to ‘cut the wire’. Yeah, I remember that I had closed my eyes, gave the stack a little swirl and scattered them apart. With childish anticipation, I reached out for a piece letting fate decide. At first, little fingers landed on nothing but wooden table, but as my fingers skittered around I brushed into my prize. Shivering with delight, I opened my eyes to see a Fun Sized Sweet Butter Bar. For a brief moment, all the exhaustion that I had once felt washed away. My eyes gazed adoringly at the piece of candy before I peeled off its little coat. Although a small part of myself was afraid that it wouldn’t live up to my expectations, I was quickly proven wrong. Every taste bud was on fire, and I knew from that day forth, it would be my favorite for life.

At a time like this Khabra’s absence became far more pronounced. Tokonus wanted – needed his best friend and she was gone, back to her village to find the path that the True Mother ordained for her. The beautiful Voice always had wisdom to share and so often she laid it out for him so sweetly. That is what he wanted most, that and to selfishly caress her so that she would never leave him again. Tokonus would sacrifice so much, happiness, safety, power, but he wouldn’t let go of his gluttonous desire for Khabra. To see her, to hear her, to feel her – to have her hate, berate, and scold him; if only she would do so to his face. “Kreshen’s will, why can’t I just forget you,” Tokonus probed at the illusion of Khabra. A crisp delineated form, a specter so picturesque that he was sure that he could reach out and grab her, floated right above him. It was his imagination and that suited him just fine, with it he could watch his Voice smile. One of those tiny hands tucking her red hair behind her ear, the other coaxing a cup of tea to her curled lips. Content, humble, wholesome, just as Tokonus had remembered her. Precious as the glimmer that ran river round the mountain, as generous as the sun that shared its bright with the moons. Someone that the lord could trust – but one that could not trust him.

Tok could feel it, he knew that she wanted more – he needed her to want more. His heartbeat drummed faster now, and his skin turned tight. The carnal passion had fully overtaken him, and he wanted to bath further in her lust. “Not yet – more.” His powerful arms collapsed down around her, and his hand gripped his lady’s dress. With effort and a grunt, he tore the fabric apart. Otalia’s eyebrows raised and her breathing hastened; Tok was certain he could feel the skin along her back prickle. There was nothing between them now, the tatters of her clothes discarded to the side, he made his move. Eagerly, and foolishly, he prodded a bit – clumsily to be sure, but she did not allow him to leave her wanting for long. Otalia effortlessly readjusted to his lap and directed his path just as the True Mother would, right into her warm embrace, right into her divinity. Tok buried himself over and over within her and laid ravenous lips upon her throat and shoulders. One hand rested at the nape of his neck, stroking it tenderly, the other gripped at his back to hold him close. Otalia match his rhythm rising and falling, rolling her hips to take all that she could stand. This was their passion made manifest; this was the feeling that had been planted within him when they agreed to one another. For a moment, but for eternity too, there was nothing else. The tension, the stress, it was as if they were locked in a struggle. The delight, the gratification, it was as if he was being cradled by a dream. Tok could hold on no longer, he was weak – but never had he preferred weakness so much. Like a lioness over a fresh kill, Otalia hovered above him savoring the final flavor of her meal before – and with verbal approval she allowed her soul to quake. Tok found himself spent, fully and completely. It was his lady’s kisses that would revitalize him and in turn he would pour back into her. With only the light of the twin moons to illuminate their bodies, the pair basked in their afterglow.

Unarmed and facing an enemy that had clearly lost their minds, Tokonus wished that he had his bracers. Although it would still be painful to get his by the sword, it was unlikely to cause him more than a few lumps. Esthan wasn’t interested in being patient, he lunged rapidly at Tokonus forcing the lord to avoid the sudden strike. His movements were swift, but sluggish and it was as if he had chains weighing him down. A quick feint and then the blade was brought high above the noble's head, but a fluid dodge made the attack useless – Tokonus eyes popped open wide as the sword crashed into the ground crumbling pieces of the stone floor.

“You... were different than I expected,” Othelia admitted drawing along Tokonus’ chest with a finger. A chuckle escaped the lord’s lips – she certainly had a way with words. After a night of passion, they had found themselves sharing a bed for the first time. He had slept better than he had in a long while and it was rather sweet to wake up to someone beautiful in the morning. The sun seemed to believe the same and it jealously cradled her bronze skin. If Tokonus hadn’t known any better, he might have believed that Othelia was glowing under the rays. “Do you have something to tell me? I was under the impression you enjoyed yourself,” Tokonus revealed with a relaxed shrug. “Enjoyment has nothing to do with it. I just-,” Othelia rolled over onto her back and looked beyond the ceiling as if searching the heavens for the words. “I knew that you might have been new after our first kiss... but there was a consideration in my mind that you might have been surprised. Now I know it for sure... you never did take my offer – to have someone else.” Tokonus could not help but react with a sigh. He wasn’t sure why she had thought of this or what she expected from him by saying it, but it flattened his otherwise good mood. It would have taken him nothing to agree; nod along and smile. That wasn’t what he wanted though, not after what they had shared. “I wouldn’t go on saying that myself...” Othelia rolled her body back to her side quickly to face him. It was clear that he had piqued her interest, but as she watched him silently, he wondered exactly what she was looking for. There wasn’t a hint of anger on the face of his lady – and perhaps this was a mask – but the lack of judgement made him less confident not more. Without warning, Othelia pinched his ear and tugged enough to make him squirm.

“You look ill,” Othelia observed glaring down at the young lord. “What has happened to you? You were in good health when we allowed you passage home.” Tokonus had not been the only one to notice that something was wrong with [redacted]. His appearance wasn’t the only thing off; there was a sound to his voice that the Lukshen could hear as well. A slight delay or echo that Tokonus was sure that no one else would hear. “No – no I can’t...,” [redacted] mumbled addressing the air above his shoulder. After a muted back and forth, the sickly man turned back to the lord and lady shivering. “Just... just help me. I – I have information. I can... I can help you too, so please, I beg you to help me.” He had avoided the question and Tokonus’ eyes turned toward Othelia. For a moment she allowed her emotional mask to slip, and it was clear that she was uncomfortable as well. Whatever was wrong with [redacted], it was severe, and he would need treatment if they were to have a productive conversation. There wasn’t a hint of anger on the face of his lady – and perhaps this was a mask – but the lack of judgement made him less confident not more. Without warning, Othelia pinched his ear and tugged enough to make him squirm. “Spit it out! What would you go on saying then?” “Aarah - let go, let go. I have no plans of hiding my mind from you.” Tokonus rubbed at the tender spot to soothe the pain once he was free and sighed again. “There is – was another woman... before you.” “Did you love her?” “I’d like to think that I did, yes.” “More than me?” Tokonus’ eyebrows narrowed as he turned to her, measuring her expression. It was not like Othelia to be jealous and yet her question offered him rights to be suspicious. Sucking a little air along his tooth he thought about what she wanted to hear, what he wanted to say, and where the truth might have laid. “I wouldn’t want to answer that now... not with you looming over my vulnerability with the grace of a hunting bird,” he finally managed out. “That’s too bad. I’d like to meet her someday,” Othelia replied wrapping an arm around his body and snuggling close to him. “If I were to get to know her, perhaps I could find a way to dig my claws deeper into you.”

“Tsk.” Air sucked and hissed in between his teeth without the permission of his clenched jaws. Tok’s sense of superiority was lost among the swirling tongue and victimized by the lengths of Otalia’s throat. Even in the face of death, Tok had never felt quite so vulnerable and weak. His nose and lips twitched subtly as the lord did his best to remain in control of his senses.Oh, she was skilled and the lord was nothing more than ice within her mouth threatening to melt with each stroke she applied to him. “W-wait, it’s-,” Tok wanted to warn, and his hand did reach out to do so, yet Otalia swatted it away defiantly. There was no other choice, the Lukshen erupted and his lady took it all into her mouth. His fingers clenched as the waves of pleasure washed over him. Under his gaze Otalia parted her lips and put her catch on display. Tok was drawn in, placing a hand against her cheek as she toyed with the virile ambrosia with her fingers and tongue as if to declare that it – and the man himself belonged to her now. After a careful swallow, Otalia turned to his powerful palm and nuzzled it against her face. With a purr she planted a kiss there as well and her eyes narrowed. She crawled up the length of his body to his ear and cooed softly, “Do you understand?”

A blush and a shiver; a nod and she was his. The switch inside him was flipped, his senses sharpened and he focused every cell within his body. His mouth tasted her and Otalia shivered – his nose caught whiff of a scent and he followed. Down, down, down, his lips traveled below her breast, below her navel, he found that the fragrance lit his heart a blaze. Down, down, down – no he had missed it and although the sample of her supple thigh was divine the aroma is what drew him. Up, up, slowly now and when her legs twitched, he knew that he had arrived. This precious oasis between his Otalia’s legs beckoned his instincts to the surface and without hesitation, he began to drink. The lord lapped, slowly at first, searching the delicate fruit for the flesh that would cause the juices to flow. A gasp from the lady made his ear flick and his tongue drew on the sensitive button that he had discovered. Deliberately now, with effort now, Tok pushed his hands into her thighs to adjust her posture to meet the moment. “Mm, don’t you d-dare... slow down,” Otalia moaned out with more authority than Tok would have imagined. The lord could feel his lady losing control and yet her pride – or her arrogance, of which one he could not decide – led her to command his actions; fortunately, he was in the mood to acquiesce. The more that he teased, the more that he was rewarded with her scent and her nectar and he lapped it up gratefully. It was true now, his Otalia was helpless, and her breathing, moaning and whimpering gave her away. All at once, his head was in a vice, plush thighs pressured him to devour her without thought and soon – his beard was wet.
