Mounting this amazing online database was no small feat, and I want to thank all our amazing co-authors, including @arpatoz.bsky.social We hope that it will be useful for others who want to be able to scale from individual responses to population dynamics under global change.

While such complex effects of climatic and biotic factors have been observed in individual studies, we make available data and code for 41 long-term studies to compare these effects across any single context. doi.org/10.5281/zeno...

On the other hand, across the tree of life, density feedbacks do buffer populations under extreme climate! In other words, when individuals compete with each other, reductions in the number of competitors under stress benefits survival & reproduction of those remaining even if extremes persist.
