If it's any consolation, from my house it was just sort of pinkish in one direction, not that different than it being cloudy and there being a growhouse somewhere semi-nearby. I've still never properly seen them and I lived in Minnesota for eight years. 🫂

In terms of ideological purity for representative democracy, I'd have preferred the sunset provision be tied to national adoption of one of the rational mathematical districting schemes.

More immediately, I'd prefer not to be sent to a men's prison.

In that metaphor I think I look at it as more of a "controlled burn" in land management, where bad stuff is very foreseeable and we're trying to limit the damage it does.

If we take only the actions we'd take if *everyone* was behaving like sane people acting in good faith, the whole house burns.

You're plenty good enough, that level of success in acting always takes a giant amount of luck.

I mean, at best my hope only rose as high as "maybe it's not as bad as people say, or negative attention is being emphasized". The latter of which likely is true, but that isn't exclusive with still being bad.

I'm sure some folks enjoyed it, and good for them. Rocky Horror is not my thing either.

I went as far as downloading it, but I have not been able to bring myself to actually watch it, which I don't particularly regret.
