If you use #Windows and are interested in dabbling in #programming, give #PowerShell a go. VSCode with the PowerShell plugin, or even the ISE if you don’t want to install anything.

@microsoft.com thank you for adding the threads layout to "teams" in Teams. It was the #1 reason why every team and department I've worked with have never used them, as posts had a very limited use for us. Now we can do away with the random chat groups that powered our business. 🥳

The new scottandmarklearn.to podcast is out! This week talking about picking a programming language. No mention of the best language of all, PowerShell 😋, but it’s a fun cast that doesn’t outstay its welcome, I’ve found myself looking forward to it.

I wonder if my old, old, old employer would let me come back for a few days so I could re-write the payroll to AD sync script I made, which was my first major, big effort, #PowerShell script. 🤔💭
I think the first big one for me was an integration between a corporate payroll system and Active Directory. It ran daily and, using payroll as the source of truth, updated AD users' details, controlled group memberships, expiry dates and finally disable and deletions when users left.

Discovered that in Stripe test, subscriptions are cancelled and removed after 90 days, so that subscription I was using as a sign of health for a dev environment for my app kept breaking after a few months. Good to know. 😅
