I don’t want to repost anyone saying this but Trump absolutely did not “repeal” or “change” or anything similar to the civil rights act.

EOs are not law. even then, he’s talking about disparate impact, not the whole act.

it’s a big deal but it has no more legal effect than a memo.

Really great to see someone say what needs to be said over and over: lots of those executive orders are bullshit grabs for powers the president doesn't have--unless we give it to him, and that starts through misinformation.
It is not actually in the President's power to unilaterally rescind or modify regulations that were enacted through notice-and-comment.
