Not "ethnic" but I get this all the time as a trans woman. I run a counselling service and am first point of contact for most clients, and have heard that line so many times. I tend to just ask them how many other real Trans people they have sat and spoken to... surprise surprise. Its usually none x

If you take heroin your GP will help you with blood tests. But if you follow international healthcare protocols and take eg puberty blockers NHS England has told your GP not to help you monitor hormone levels with blood tests. Gender affirming care is, apparently, worse than heroin.
