I preached to a church for the first time today. A lovely congregation of whom I’m growing rather fond. I’ve preached before but just in seminary. First time in the robes!

I’m preaching to the choir, I know, but damn, hate it when people try to touch a child who’s shying away from them. Don’t care about where, how, or why they’re trying to touch them. This person was also touching adults who didn’t want it, but kids? Esp ones who can’t talk yet? Fuck outta here.

For the blackout day I got boba from the shop down the street & took my dog to the park. He swam so far out for his ball that everyone cheered. It’s the small things. (& this time last year, he couldn’t even swim yet!)

1/ some people have an odd sort of charisma. they’re magnetic. sparkly. people want their adoration. if they shat skittles, people’d gobble.
but all that glitters is not gold.
they keep their ugly locked away & then use it as a weapon while still dazzling everyone except whomever they attack.
