"Small government, low taxes, I'm fiscally conservative!", say Republicans in Congress who have voted unanimously to increase the military budget by tens of billions of dollars every year for decades

I feel relief when I read a web article and ther's a small spelling or punctuation error. It guarantees a degree of human operation and not completely AI

for poorer jobs money is "pay"
for better jobs its "compensation"
for extremely rich jobs, its "being harshly exploitative with capitalizing labor and forever pushing for monopoly as hard as possible against individuals outside your private control"

my brain lays in superposition when seeing large architectural structures, feeling both awe at the creative beauty and also pain as monument of those that we've likely exploited and/or left behind.

Even being an AI/ML practitioner, where often your models' biases can explode in your face, the practitioner could still be unironically largely prone to their own biases

I feel like with learning ML, AI, and RL I generally find greater appreciation and understanding of philosophy, neuroscience, and sociopolitical apparatuses

I appreciate the response! But I'd be careful prescribing things we're not "meant to do." We weren't MEANT to go to space but we did anyway. We weren't MEANT to have massive communication like mycelium, but we created the environment to do so anyways.
We have to remind ourselves that there is nothing in the 200,000 year history of our species that was any sort of Global Town Square where everybody says whatever they want to everyone else. We were not meant to do this. We are meant to be in small communities, loosely connected to other ones.
What do you think platforms like Bluesky are missing to position themselves as a global, digital "town square" over IG/X/FB? I certainly do feel the algorithmic "bucketization" that separates us between other users. Algorithmic transparency? Visual additions? Or just money?
