The undercurrent to all the Notre Dame-ACC stuff is that when UVA lost to Duke, the ACC obviously went in behind the scenes and demanded they still get a full member team in or they’d riot. Which like, it was obviously the right thing to do, but it’s probably severed their ties with the Irish.

laughing at the Mets for losing Edwin Diaz even though it further charges up the Dodgers death star

A five year deal is perfect for Kyle. *Maybe* it’s a little rough by the end of it but honestly his approach at the plate has only gotten better and more efficient year after year, there’s no real reason not to expect it to continue even with age.

I'm not saying Nick Sirianni needs to be on the hot seat, but like if you do the thing where you replace the offensive coordinator and it works again does that really work in his favor either at this point?

The Eagles are (probably) still going to win the division, and might even manage to win a playoff game depending on how the cards fall, but like there’s no question about it, the 2025 season is over.

I mean on the one hand of course the ACC was going to go all-in on the pressure campaign to get a full
member into the playoff over Notre Dame. But like there was obviously going to be a cost to that with how it was gonna affect an ND-ACC partnership that was already fraying pretty badly.
Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua to DP Show on the ACC: "We were mystified by the actions of the conference to attack their biggest partner really in football...They have certainly done permanent damage to the relationship between the conference and Notre Dame."

We do not need to entering like day six of discussing something Quentin Tarantino said; “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood” was the series wrap on all that.

finally, the Chiefs dynasty is over and we can start seeing some new teams show up in the playoffs. now let me take a BIG gulp of water and see who has the most wins in the AFC right now

I will sacrifice as much of my sleep schedule as I have to so I can be here for the Chiefs funeral.

I do think that anyone complaining about Notre Dame skipping a Bowl Game because “it’s not fair to the players” is living in an alternate world right now. If you’re like 21 and a P5 athlete, you don’t give a shit about a non-playoff game bowl game; that’s millennial bullshit.

There is a 1000% percent chance that the Notre Dame boosters just refused to agree to the team playing something called “The Pop Tarts Bowl” after getting playoff snubbed no matter how much the AD insisted it’s actually pretty prestigious.

The one weird little Notre Dame soapbox I’m gonna get on is that everyone in College Football spends 364 days a year complaining about how the Conferences are killing the sport as we know it and then the extra one saying “Join a Conference” to ND as nauseam

sounds like y’all expected more from the playoff committee but there’s a reason they’re still in college

The ESPN hosts making this entirely about ND versus Miami and not the three loss team who got murked in their conference title game says a hell of a lot

I’m taking solace in the fact that I at least get to see Alabama humiliate itself on a national stage again in a couple weeks

Curt Cignetti has to have the fastest record for a coach to go to a school and then feel certain the stadium is going to eventually be named after him one day.

I gotta give CNN credit here, Berman kept his boot on Cotton’s throat for a full three minutes. You can see the light just go out of Cotton’s eyes at 2:35.
BERMAN: Would it be legal for police in Arkansas to kill suspected drug dealers on a boat in a lake?

TOM COTTON: The premise of your question is not well-founded

BERMAN: The answer is no. It would not be legal to kill them.
