I'm going to my building's Halloween party as a duck pond

This is a rough combination of two maps, of tornado damage in St. Louis and of income levels in key parts of the tornado path. Source for the base map: www.justicemap.org, source for the tornado damage map apps.dat.noaa.gov/stormdamage/.... I aligned them by eye in Photoshop so this is a rough job
a map of northern St. Louis (Forest Park is in the lower left corner, the Mississippi river in the upper right) that shows income levels by census tract. Superimposed on that is the track of the tornado with triangles showing its strength (yellow is EF2, orange EF3). On this map many of the areas of greatest damage are dark brown on the income map, meaning median annual income less than $35,000

So many violets in Tower Grove Park

Finished my first large free-form weaving. I learned a lot and the next one will have a much plainer warp.
a woven shawl about 20 inches wide and 5 feet long with stripes mostly of green, blue, yellow and orange. Some stripes are variegated or have two colors divided in the middle or diagonally. The vertical warp has two prominent yellow lines in the middle and thin lines in bright colors on either side

Close set brick houses with snow under an pinkish-orange sky before sunrise. There is a faint but clear orange vertical line above a band of clouds where the sun is just below the horizon. That atmospheric phenomenon is called a sun pillar or light pillar
