I’m also worried that lack of snap sales in poor areas is going to shut down grocery stores and make the food desert situation even worse.

Literally didn’t notice that other people’s physical comportment was so much different than mine for decades because all of my energy was so focused on regulating my body and nervous system rather than group norms. Also I was homeschooled for quite a while 😅 so… negative social awareness.

Oh yeah, and POTS/hypermobility pain means standing or sitting still with feet down, like a human, has never been a thing for me. That one made a lot more sense post diag too. I was like 30 and thought “wait… not everyone has to sway or sit down when waiting in line. How????”

Also, recently narcolepsy eval has me rethinking a lot of my fidgeting (including phone use… it’s a fidget) and skin picking… IT’S WHEN IM FIGHTING SLEEP. Never realized because I assumed everyone felt like a little carcass all the time.

Yes! Hard to pay attention and be normal when your body and nervous system are constantly like “lol what the fuck?? 😳😫”

The old autism/POTS/hypermobility trifecta feels relevant.

1. Most people on SNAP work.
2. They get it because their wages are so low.
3. SNAP is a subsidy for companies who don’t pay a decent wage.
4. Immigrants do not get SNAP.
