Walz: "This is how government is supposed to work. It's not supposed to be one old man in the Oval Office sending out middle of the night tweets that shock markets into free fall. It's not supposed to be a bunch of 20 somethings unelected and firing everyone. It's not supposed to be chaos."

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the only person to serve more than two terms as U.S. president. Roosevelt’s violation of the two-term tradition prompted Congress and the states to turn the tradition into a formal matter of constitutional law. (via @us.theconversation.com)
Why does the U.S. have presidential term limits? The history of the 22nd Amendment
The rule that no president can serve more than two full terms became part of the U.S. Constitution in 1951, after President Franklin D. Roosevelt died.

Important. Either Trump is so far gone mentally he doesn’t know what he’s doing, or people are acting in his name without his knowledge. This was an order with enormous implications, and the President of the United States says he didn’t do it.

Unbelievable...
A horror show today.
Generations of American patriots, from our revolution onward, have fought for the principles Zelenskyy is risking his life to defend. But today, Donald Trump and JD Vance attacked Zelenskyy and pressured him to surrender the freedom of his people to the KGB war criminal who invaded Ukraine.
ZELENSKYY: Putin broke the ceasefire. What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you speaking about?

VANCE: I think it's disrespectful to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media

America looks ridiculous on the world stage.
I stand with Ukraine.
“JD Vance… wanted to have this row, wanted to show himself tough bullying Zelensky.”

Journalist Gabriel Gatehouse says that the US had “a great hand” but its soft power in Europe is “gone”, adding: “All America has left is hard power.”

This is a scary moment for our country.
A new North Dakota bill would require stores to pull any book with any "material harmful to minors" from the shelves.

For those in the cheap seats, that effectively means ANY mention of sex, sexuality or gender.

A bookseller could be arrested for displaying 1984.

Port: It's not just about kids, and it's not just libraries
Legislation under consideration in Bismarck wouldn't just restrict access to books in schools and libraries. The language of the bill also applies to private book stores.
