Sometimes we must take a break from the grief of the news & go outside. Disconnect. Refuel & remember there are still places that bring us light. This week I saw this humpback. A stranger & I stood together in awe. Remember to stop. Talk to a stranger. Look up!

This is the brave voice of an Israeli who shows what the other side of Israel believes—there are still Israelis who believe in humanity & respect for Palestinians

Opinion | I'm ashamed of what Israel has become - but I won't stop fighting - Haaretz

This is my city. Living in a war zone now. My heart breaks. Journalists let’s tell the stories of each person taken & follow them so no one is forgotten
ICE is going to get someone killed.

This was outside 100 Montgomery in SF’s Financial District.

If you needed proof these rookie hires aren’t trained, here it is. Real feds de-escalate. They call for backup. They don’t drag people down the street w/a car.

Hope everyone’s OK.

Your Prime Day reminder that half of Amazon warehouse workers struggle with food & housing costs.

A third have had to rely on government assistance like SNAP — which is about to get cut.

If Bezos can spend $50M on a wedding, Amazon can afford to treat its workers with dignity.

I've always been fiercely private about my family. Now I'm speaking out. The newspaper my grandmother fought to protect is at risk. I urge Bezos to consider the promise he made to defend The Washington Post from those who would silence voices of dissent www.thenation.com/article/soci...
