These proposals are impractical and unenforceable. They would constitute an abdication of a faculty member's responsibility to teach up to the professional standards of the discipline in which they are expert, and a violation of the First Amendment rights of both faculty members and students.

That’s exactly what I did when the gender ideology executive order came down. I teach sociology of gender so of course we had to talk about existing research on sex and gender as a spectrum.

I think it depends on what the expectations are. I think it’s perfectly fine to give similar presentations on work in progress to mostly different audiences at different institutions or conferences to get diverse feedback.
