This is why so many people feel dejected about politics. The people don't matter, the money does. We need to reform our electoral systems to ensure money can't interfere at all. Our representatives are meant to represent us and us alone.
Who was lobbying Washington on Venezuela in 2025?

OpenSecrets found a sharp increase in lobbying by U.S. energy companies and Venezuelan government-linked groups as sanctions and policy decisions loomed.

It is important to fact check statements from those in power. No matter how many lies occur we need independent accountability. I focus on Trump's economic claims and he clearly does not understand the issues that influence poverty. open.substack.com/pub/abolishp...

Trump last week gave a speech on the American economy and lied through his teeth. I reviewed his claims and explained how it shows he does not care or at least does not know how to address poverty. Full article here: open.substack.com/pub/abolishp...

There is a reason that there should be government support for social services. When NGOs are the main way crises are addressed there is more vulnerability to economic instability. This year has been hard for NGOs because of lack of funding from individuals and government. apnews.com/article/poll...

Trump just gave a speech that basically tells those struggling that it is all fake. Trump has given a platform to the richest people in the world to white wash suffering they cause. We have not seen jobs rise in the US, in fact it's the opposite. CEOs have raise their pay off the backs of workers.

I am not usually proud of my writing but this quote I am. "Mutual aid is done to build resilience and independence, not the ‘pick you up by your boots straps’ independence, the ‘here are the tools, now do your thing’ independence." A quote from my full article here open.substack.com/pub/abolishp...

The Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF) case is exactly the type of case NSPM-7 is looking for. From my understanding, 2/5 are tied to the FBI in some way and I would be curious their involvement. We have seen FBI entrapment with similar legislation to NSPM-7. (1/4)

As Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis stated in 1933; “We can have democracy in this country or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of the few, but we cannot have both.”

Today, at a time of unprecedented income & wealth inequality, his words ring truer than ever.

For every Billionaire, more families are pushing into poverty. There is only so much money, one person (or even family) doesn't need that much.
When we say “billionaires should not exist,” what we mean is:

Instead of billionaires…
Everyone should have healthcare.
Everyone should have housing.
Everyone should have access to healthy food and clean water.

Billionaires are a policy failure.
