Finished up some plushie Small-Spotted Catshark/Lesser-Spotted Dogfish (Scyliorhinus canicula) this morning!

These are all printed at-home- this gives me the freedom to use different fabrics and slight colour variations!

They're for sale over here: www.palaeoplushies.com/shop/smallsp...

My thought processes when I made this. I swear I sat down to finally pattern the dunk but I just can't focus on it. My focus slides right off.

So I've been busy finishing a bunch of FISHMAS decorations! I've put together some sets of four and sevens.

If you'd like to hang a bunch of tetras from your fishmas tree this winter, you can find them over here: www.palaeoplushies.com/shop/fishmas

I've been working on a Spotted Eagle Ray pattern. Their shape is surprisingly hard to get right.

I have two listed on my website, they are made of super soft minky and are weighted with plastic beans.

A whole shoal of goldfish have made their way over to www.palaeoplushies.com

These cute carp won't grow too big for your cuddles, and unlike the real thing they don't need a pond (or a real big tank) to be happy.

These male smooth newts are in their breeding colours! Is it the right time of year? No! But they're plushies so it doesn't matter.

For sale here: www.palaeoplushies.com/shop/lissotr...

The artwork for these were painted traditionally using watercolours and ink pen.

The first few goldfish I've printed here at home are available on my website:
www.palaeoplushies.com

These plushies were designed and painted digitally based on photos, printed with special ink onto sublimation paper with my modified Epson Inkjet and then heat pressed onto fabric.

I've got some giant plush beetles looking for homes!

Unlike their real counterparts they don't need to be kept on a substrate of leaf humus and rotten wood... Though this one seems to be enjoying the leaves!

Been painting scales again!!!

This time my favourite domestic carp: goldfish! (Sorry Koi)

Been working on these prototypes at home. Hopefully will have a few up for grabs next week! Then more colours in future...

I've got three prototype smooth newt plushies up for sale www.palaeoplushies.com

The original artwork for these was watercolour on paper! Next time I'll design the pattern first before painting it because I ended up having to modify it more than I intended. Silly.

They're a few cm smaller than normal due to an order error so I've got these up for £10 off the usual price! :)

Honestly I think this is my best attempt yet at recreating this beautiful extinct creature.

Using my new thylacine sewing pattern I have created another lifesize thylacine plushie!

This big friend is available over here: www.palaeoplushies.com/shop/thylaci...

It's funny because I've noticed that my pet rats, in certain lights, have a patch of fur on their foreheads/shoulders that catches the light in a way that gives it a blue/green sheen... I never realised this could potentially be structural iridescence!

Previously only seen at Dinocon- two new Palaeoplushies make an appearance!

The famous Anomalocaris, and the jawless fish Zenaspis!

These two are available for the first time over on my website!
