Here's a comparison of the size and color difference between the fake and real copies, in case your friend finds copies that only show exterior pictures.

Because the knockoffs use a bad scan of the real cover and it can be hard to tell from pictures without seeing the interior. The knockoffs are thinner than the real ones and the cover is washed out. Here's a picture comparing a real copy (left) and a knockoff (right).

Spouse installed a UV LED strip in the china cabinet to show off the glow of the uranium glass. It's pretty spectacular.

And by "a whole lot of fabulous pieces," I mean that nearly everything in this stall was uranium glass, and several other stalls had a few other pieces of uranium glass.
