That leofard was a hair's breadth from giving up on what he and moro'a have now, no thanks to his fears. he'd never let anyone get as close as moro'a had up until then, and that brought up so many conflicting things for him, from questioning what freedom really meant to him, to whether fighting to stick to the life he'd made with the redbills was the right or wrong choice, because in his mind no matter what he did choosing one would likely mean losing the other (WRONG) Ultimately the regret he felt over rejecting moro'a won over his emotional self-preservation, but another moment of debate could've easily flipped that coin. Answers, part 2/2: 30. one headcanon about this OTP that mends it I am always, always always soft over the fact that moro'a going out of his way to get leofard a fantasia (a concept he'd thought impossible because like. how was he to know that such a thing could exist in another world, and that he'd been getting cozy with the one man who could bring it to him) was the thing that finally pushed his feelings over from 'infatuation he could ignore' to 'falling for him hard' T_T and that reflecting upon this was what helped him realise just how much moro'a cared for him

The short answer is both of them do :> the longer answer needs context — back when they started spending more time together after ultima thule and leo was flirting with moro'a like it'd get him to heaven, he made a game out of goading moro'a into kissing him first, which worked lol. somewhere along the way they realised they both like being surprised, so the game has since morphed into a back and forth challenge to catch the other person unawares with the next kiss*. other rules include: has to be out in public, being seen by any of their travel companions counts as a loss [In conspicuously smaller text] *outside of more private moments like kissing in bed or during sex 25. Leofard's enamoured with moro'a's eyes (most of his partners are, and they're right). but it's also the way they soften when he's relaxed, when he's just waking up or laughing at a jest. he loves watching moro'a move during battles — his fighting style's gotten more mobile over the years, especially after he picked up BLU, and he still moves like a dancer (not DNC, this was from his childhood), limber and graceful. and he likes his legs 😌 For moro'a, it's leo's hands and neck, how his hair falls over his eyes. the roguish swagger in his gestures and his silly, confident full-toothed grin. he thinks he's genuinely charming, and that charm's only grown since settling into a body that fully feels like his. Answers, part 2/3: 7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other? Hough. it doesn't happen for them at the same time, so it's staggered — moro'a starts catching feelings first, and recognises them for what they are quite quickly. the first thing he does is not talk about it or show it at all, because that wasn't what they agreed to (at least initially) :') but it's very much in his thoughts and it becomes a unique kind of torture for him, the usually super-reserved guy who has to hold in feelings he wants to express for once Leofard takes a lot longer to acknowledge what it is he's feeling, and he is not graceful about it at all. he gets even more playful and touchy with moro'a in their interactions, and antsier when he's worried, all while doing his best not to think about what's going through his head/heart. Answers, part 3/3: 26. What would be their theme song? Edit: i originally linked both the original music video and the dungeon meshi MV because they had different english translations, but after reading them again i'm like 90% sure the dungeon meshi one was autotranslated, and badly, so. it gone. (In between the previous paragraph and the next is an embedded youtube video, i.e. the official music video for BUMP OF CHICKEN's 'Sleep Walking Orchestra'.) But yeah sleep walking orchestra speaks a lot to the similarities between what drives moro'a and leo, mainly their zest for discovery and how they view the past 🥹 it's also, very simply, a fucking banger of a song

Who kisses the hardest? This one goes to leo, he's putting everything into those kisses. not to say that moro'a doesn't, but my boy is a hard nut to crack and favours being more subtle. Answers, part 3/3: 20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship? The scions view them with varying levels of amusement, confusion and suspicion. alisaie took on the role of wary younger sister very quickly; less out of possessiveness (though there's a smidge of that) and moreso a genuine concern that they won't last. she insists her dislike of pirates has nothing to do with it. erenville withers any time he has to interact with leofard. tataru is delighted for the both of them. Deipo will find out eventually, but as of now she isn't aware of their relationship. i'm not sure she cares enough to know right now. As for the redbills, they're thrilled that they have something new to tease leofard about! stacia's...happy. happy that he allowed himself to have this, that he didn't decide that keeping raimille's promise meant having to cut off something else that he loves. Nicknames? & if so, how did they originate? Moro'a doesn't use nicknames as a general rule, so "leo" is something of an exception :> Leofard called him "adventurer" a lot while they were friends with benefits! at some point it became darlin', or chéri if he's feeling fancy (#cringe). it was meant to be a tease, but the meaning's shifted over time as things became more romantic. leo, of course, has not mentioned this Answer, part 3/4: 15. Who wakes up first? Leofard, although he's usually the last to get up, too. moro'a has the mooncat biological clock, so he's the one who'll watch leo sleep while he's still trying to doze off Answer, part 4/4: 25. Who needs more assurance? They both need some, but leo's the one who needs it more, though not by a huge margin. neither of them are the type to express it without some initial resistance — moro'a's had a little more practice thanks to emotionally open partners like koh'sae and haurchefant, who were able to coax it out of him in the past, but leofard's still in the no vulnerability trenches, so right now he defaults to ostensibly light-hearted jokes or bids for connection. moro'a's catching on to him though. please look forward to it (7.4+)
