By-Election Result analysis: Cromarty Firth (2025)

Not unexpectedly an Independent beats the SNP for this one, but the Lib Dems perform unexpectedly poorly, and Reform show how much progress they've made since September.
By-Election Result: Cromarty Firth (2025)
A typically strong showing for Highland Independents leads one to victory over a slightly rebounding, but not fully recovered SNP, whilst the Lib Dems experience a surprising slide and we see how far Reform have come in the past 9 months.

@notrollergirl.bsky.social Hi Daisy, would you mind following me back/DM-ing so we can discuss a podcast appearance? I’m hoping someone would be willing to discuss this Meta fiasco with the book theft and someone suggested you.

This is absolutely spot on. The sheer range of top quality movies - and tv shows are even worse - that are unavailable is huge.
Terrific piece this. A good test I think is to ask “would I be willing to pay to own this DVD on BluRay, a more durable format?” and if not, don’t keep it. Often quite striking to realise the answer is “you can’t buy that, or stream it anymore”, a good reason to hang on to what you love.

That’s quite a statistic!
“A startling statistic emerged in Paris last month: during the morning and evening rush hours, on representative main thoroughfares crisscrossing the French capital, there are now more bicycles than cars – almost half as many again, in fact.”
