Ask literally anyone from Northern Ireland born before 1995. They are lethal and kill. Or ask a US veteran if they would take a rubber 40mm to the face.
A Minneapolis cop shot my friend Linda Tirado in the face with a rubber bullet, destroying one of her eyes and injuring the frontal lobes of her brain. She's now dying from chronic effects of the brain injury. There is no guaranteed non-lethal way to shoot at someone.
You don’t “accidentally” headshot people w/ a weapon that isn’t supposed to be aimed directly at them.

When cops intentionally misuse crowd control devices they aren’t “less than lethal.” That term applies to proper use. It’s in the manual. This is attempted…something. Could’ve killed this guy.

Como cidadão eu vou rezar para que a chuva não castigue mais pessoas no Rio Grande do Sul. Como governante, farei tudo o que for possível para auxiliar os governos municipais e estaduais a remediar os danos as milhares de famílias.

Absolutely raging that Cillian Murphy couldn't just have squeezed in one tiny Intermission quote into his Oscar speech. Something like "Those that start wars haven't got hearts of gold, they have hearts of stone, man".

When people ask me what my favourite book is I say something but ALWAYS tell them that the best thing I ever read was the #Sandman series by @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com . It literally changed my life , no GN had ever made the hair stand on my neck like that. Thank you, Neil.

"A bar should be like a hotel – you have a three-star, a four-star and a five-star. If you’re a three-star you can only charge around €4 or under a fiver for a pint, if you’re a four-star you can charge around €5 or €6 and if you’re a five-star you can charge up to a tenner." ~ Bar owner in #Dublin

Whenever these type of stories make the papers, I always think to myself "wow, that's nice that he/she/they can be honest but could you please build homes? Pay teachers and retain medical staff and also,.also as a little treat, maybe a 1000 bed prison?

So on one side we had a tragic event that might have been prevented , but on the other we had a massive race riot led by criminal teenagers, the further entrenchment of the far right and definitely 10 years of being the weirdos in Europe. It's Irish swings and roundabouts.

Interesting read , going more into the reality of how #AI will affect the internet as we know it.

Big news with #Spotify , looks like their revenue model which obviously hadn't matured as well as the market penetration finally caught up with them. Also, looming strikes in Sweden as a follow up to the #TESLA industrial action had an influence. www.linkedin.com/posts/davidt...

For those that hadn't followed his tweets or nationally syndicated columns, I present to you the funniest writer in Ireland. The Metro letters had me in tears, but the time he met the president should be recorded into antiquity.
Can't believe it's ten years since those Metro slags published my first ever Rush Hour Crush. Still does my nut to this day. #bringbackhanging
