To be fair, you're "NY based". I'm sure unannounced visitors are given short shrift and heavy use of the word "asswipe" applies. In Britain we're slightly more refined. Tea, milk, coffee, sugar, port, brandy, gin, whisky... it's good manners.

I doubt you have to worry about dealing with children.

Harsh isn't it. How I'd love a flat stomach. But that would mean eating healthy and it's frankly not a price worth paying.
November 6, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Lol there is no correct size when your stomach is like mine. If I get the right size they slide down to my hips and are far too big and fall down!

Such behaviour is the preserve of the thin man

Just an inkling. Nothing more. British descent, white, from Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa, humourless.
November 4, 2025 at 7:14 AM
Almost as if the sort of Brits that emigrated to the colonies were the miserable, humourless ones. Explains a lot.
November 3, 2025 at 4:55 PM
Lol you never know the person tho. Some people would like a 'you stink like shit, sort it" message
October 31, 2025 at 11:52 PM
I had to do it with a bloke who looked like one of the Dingles off Emmerdale. So it wasn't so bad.
October 31, 2025 at 10:55 PM
I had to say that to an employee once. Most uncomfortable conversation I've ever had.
October 31, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Surely that's part of the point of most films.
October 31, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Can't really argue with that. That, and the second Iraq War are probably the two key historical events that have given us the world we have today.
October 26, 2025 at 11:32 AM
So they say, but either way they don't anymore so the flavour should be renamed "old fashioned banana flavour"
October 26, 2025 at 11:30 AM
But then nothing "banana flavoured" could ever be rendered thus
October 25, 2025 at 10:49 PM
Or simply "Joy"
October 25, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Not to underplay the racist element which is obviously worse. But they are essentially just unpleasant people looking for any excuse to be unpleasant
October 25, 2025 at 10:42 PM
To be fair I suspect she also sees a dirty Fenian, a northerner who should know her place, and I'm sure she'd find some reason to judge the Governess. That's the thing with these people. They're obviously racists, but they're also basically misanthropes.
October 25, 2025 at 10:30 PM
I'd argue she's a fuckwit. But I'm willing to cede the ground on this one.
October 25, 2025 at 9:59 PM
I mean apart from the obvious, it also suggests that advertisers - loathsome though they are - don't know how to do their job. It's just a party for the thickest fuckers in society. As if the most amoral industry ever created might do anything for "woke" reasons rather than money.
October 25, 2025 at 9:58 PM
And cos it's well overdue.
October 25, 2025 at 9:09 AM
The husband...
October 23, 2025 at 7:23 PM
They're all good, even very good, but there's something raw about Cabaret - which is an odd thing to say for an electro album - that for me puts it ahead any of them. It just captures a time and a place; grubby, seedy, but yearning at the same time.
October 23, 2025 at 4:31 PM
Their first album is an absolute classic. I would say under-rated, but it's more unrated these days. Easily the equal of Lexicon of Love or Dare.
October 23, 2025 at 2:57 PM
You don't have to take my word for it though. Just Google "is the private sector more efficient than the public sector". Plenty of studies have found otherwise.
