"Well, sour pickles"

I am using the rust book: doc.rust-lang.org/book/title-p... and a video class on udemy. I am still getting it all figured out and haven't written any software yet, but I am getting the concepts figured out, and successfully writing the included practices. So, still fumbling, but getting closer.

After one failed try (I clicked the wrong checkbox for my network adapter set up), I loaded the second time and archlinux installed beautifully, and I am writing this post on my new arch laptop. YAY ME!!

Now I have a lot of software to load.

I just grabbed the archlinux iso. I'll give it a go here in a bit.

I had never tried manjaro, so I have no clue if it is good or not, but it sounds like it isn't a good choice. I'll grab a different arch distro.

Just holiday tradition.
