I am, thankfully. My little car shattered, but in doing so kept me safe.

I honestly feel very fortunate. There’s a lot of stretches of that road where there wouldn’t have been anyone to help or witness. Instead there was someone sitting at the eastern side of the light who saw the whole thing. (And very nearly got her own car whacked by ours.)

Two witnesses corroborated my account in full to the police, thankfully. Cop told me straight off that the other driver is going to receive a citation for failure to yield.

No, not diminishing at all. In some ways, I’m very grateful to that little car. She died, but I don’t have a bruise. She did her job.

I just wish she hadn’t had to.
