Go easy on cruciferous vegetable like cabbage, brussel sprouts, vegetables like that. Find a doctor who would recommend Lugo tabs. Those are iodine tablets. I learned l grew up in the goiter belt. That include's michigan, wisconsin, some parts of Ohio and States like that. The soil had low iodine.
