Cooperatives are not a marginal phenomenon. With hundreds of millions in employment and over one billion total members, the cooperative model is a significant contributor to global wealth and economic wellbeing, prioritizing community development and people over profit. 🌎🌍🌏

I've said it before but mutual aid and direct actions are beautiful things, what these working people are doing for each other is necessary for all of them and the world to flourish. Whatever you can do to show them solidarity is worth doing.
BREAKING: The biggest strike against Amazon in U.S. history is happening right now.

The Teamsters are picketing facilities across the country.

The union has organized workers at 10 Amazon locations AND they're putting up picket lines at hundreds of other Amazon sites nationwide.

Polling shows U.S. voters support worker cooperatives.

● Voters support creating a bank to help businesses become worker co-ops.

● Voters support creating grant programs to expand worker co-ops.

● Voters support small businesses becoming worker co-ops.

Solidarity is a beautiful thing ❤️
Members of the #IWW (Industrial Workers of the World) in #Montreal, stood in solidarity with striking postal workers and took part in blockades which the government is trying to stop and push the strikers back to work as disruptions continue in lead up holidays.

I'll say it on repeat, the small acts of solidarity to others struggles, the direct action of helping and the mutual aid that those two create are the tools that will enable human flourishing.

Knowledge is power, giving any up to the authorities is just giving them more power over you.

The for-profit model of business has killed an uncountable number of people. I don't know what the best system of organization is, but this isn't it.
Jonas Salk didn't patent his 1955 polio vaccine so that it would be affordable for all people. As a result, he lost an estimated 7 billion dollars

Saying in an interview "There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?"

"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful." No matter what you feel about any religion in particular always be distrustful of an individual wanting to use it as justification for anything at all. They are either a ruler or wannabe ruler.

This is very deep 🤔

Workers of the work built the world we live in, as such, deserve all the luxuries contained within.

Agreed, all people deserve by nature of being alive all of these luxuries in life.
The real luxuries in life.

Liberals don't understand how correct this is, by submitting yourself to the authority of the state. Even if that state calls itself democratic, socialist, monarchist or anything else, you have already freely given power to the institutions that create authoritarians.

Beautiful to see what a little direct action, mutual aid and solidarity can do.
The Los Angeles City Council has approved raising the minimum wage to $30/hr for the city’s hotel and airport workers by 2028.

The council voted 12-3 to raise the wage for the approximately 23,000 workers in these tourism industry positions.

Workers struggling with higher expenses called the wage proposal a matter of survival. Business owners warned they would scale back operations or shut down.

"Support humans with no strings attached" is the fundamental message of solidarity.
I think it's really important to remember that supporting your fave artists shouldn't be reward based.

Support them because you want THEM to succeed.

Support humans CREATING art.

Support humans following their passions at their own pace.

Support humans with no strings attached.

Mutual Aid, Solidarity and Direct Action. Three pillars of a future society and a call for action in the current society. Good luck to all the folk out there and may we have each other's back.

Tens of millions of Americans get their power from 900+ electric cooperatives. These socially owned organizations are collectively owned and democratically managed by their members, and surplus is reinvested to improve service quality and lower consumer costs. 👷💡

Jesus shared this photo from a foggy cold day where he was working in the wine grapes in WA State. Jesus' proud that he has worked 42 yrs in WAs grapes, apples, asparagus and says, "Thanks to the work of farm workers we all have food on our tables for our families." #WeFeedYou

These people are doing what they must to survive one of the evils of capitalism with mutual aid. If you can please show solidarity, only together do we truly thrive.
