Graphic designer, TTRPG and videogame... gamer, guy, Sorry/Not Sorry I made that inappropriate comment on your post and you came here to judge me. There's plenty of material here to judge me back on, I'm a horrible person. Don't follow me.
I canceled my D+ account after Secret Invasion. It was the last straw and just such a shitty show that I was done with it. I’ll maybe pick it back up for Andor s2, otherwise I haven’t felt the need to watch any of it lately. I’m tired of shitty writing.

Just need to set it on fire to make the picture complete

The spiciness makes me feel alive again, if just for a moment or two.

It’s ok for maybe solving tech support kind of issues sometimes, as long as somebody sees your question in a timely manner, otherwise large servers are useless. Our small gaming group uses it for our online ttrpg stuff for group calls and posting game-related content, it’s good for that at least.

I did that before with somebody trying to buy drugs. I just kept telling them to show at the usual spot. They didn’t seem to catch on, but I came clean after a few weeks of that. That was over a decade ago and never heard anything else after that.

With Bran, he’d just be the shittiest player of “the game of thrones” that they talked about all throughout. He’ll have no sense of how to negotiate, manipulate, charm, or persuade people to do anything for him. He’ll get unseated in a coup because he won’t have any allies of worth to help him.

Price point was the big bottleneck, along with no support for porn, and the weirdly creepy promo video they made of the guy watching old home 3d videos of his apparently dead kids. I actually still want one bc I can see some potential uses for it at my job, but $3k is too rich for me.

With Bronn as his Master of Coin. They’re gonna be bankrupt as shit within a few years because he’s definitely skimming money off the top for gambling and getting prostitutes. I like his character, but he was the absolute worst pick for that position. And Bran has no empathy for people anymore.

Same, I was frightfully shy all throughout school, probably even a little into college. I’m still not super talkative, even my kids talk more than I do, but I have my moments and can actually make people laugh on occasion.

Before Internet
You had to get porn from shady places or order it by post & hope it arrived in discrete packaging. Or you watched the naughty PPV squiggles on your tv.

Post Internet
It’s literally everywhere & every possible fictional/non-fictional character you can think of has porn made for them.

It’s just like the books vs audiobooks thing. Tons of people defending audiobooks, but never a post attacking them. According to one person, they occur on other social media platforms, which would make sense why I’m never seeing them on here. The yellow paint thing is just whatever.

Oh, it’s basically just like Primer, except with more explosions, shooting, international travel, shadowy governmental organizations, weird-ass conspiracies, time loops, Russians, Kenneth Branagh, and well… ok, so it’s nothing like Primer, other than kind of having a unique time travel system.

When I first saw them in the theaters, they were bad and I didn’t care for them, but they’ve since been redeemed. They’re not perfect by any means and I think they suffer from some significant issues, but they’re adequate for having expanded on a few stray lines from the OT. They did their own thing

And holy shit, it's by Alfred Valley, writer of Thousand Empty Light. Fucking legend.

Doctor Who really has multiple personality and delusional disorders, he just periodically lets personalities die off based on whatever is happening in the current delusion. It's all just one guy going absolutely insane.

I think it's interesting that he's jumping right into the cinematic universe with all the cameos that are in the trailer. It kind of contrasts with the MCU model where they started from one hero and slowly built up each character. I'll be curious to see how it goes, but DC tends to not be as good.

Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?

I would say more like an Action RPG. Link is silent for the most part, allowing the player to inject themselves into the story somewhat as "the hero". It's true it's not a "traditional RPG", it's not turn-based and there's no leveling, but it does have RPG elements here and there.

There's trade-offs between formats, but one isn't necessarily superior to the other, you're still just experiencing the same story for the most part (barring changes between formats). So it doesn't matter if audiobooks aren't 'reading' or 'listening', you still got the STORY as intended.
December 30, 2024 at 9:26 PM
I feel like the whole book v audiobook argument is missing the point sometimes. What you're getting from a fiction book, audiobook, comic book, movie, or whatever of a Work, is the STORY. That's the experience you're getting, regardless of how you get it. It doesn't matter the format it comes in.
