Transport technology, Birmingham and some other stuff.

Occasional photos of Travel Basil to promote St Basils homeless charity that works with young people in Birmingham.
I'm still waiting for Birmingham to sort out the bin strikes so that we might have recycling again. (Which is also interesting an political point as recycling seems to be generally the green initiative people care about).

But also I'm not sure cycle to work is the best scheme. I'd far rather see a simple subsidy scheme which could include a range of options for greener travel including public transport discounts, eBikes and even EV charging points (for more rural areas).

I'm fairly confident in saying that probably would put him more popular than any major party leader in the UK.

So many more questions as well - like how will they create anything original as AIs can only mimic what has done before and if it's all AI, how is there anything that can't be replicated by someone else?

Not sure if it's the same dynamics in London but house prices have shot up in Birmingham but not flats. All due to working from home: if you don't need to come into the office (as often), less need to be in the centre and you probably need space for an office.

For about a decade now I have refused to appear on all male panels and it has forced several events to have to reorganise themselves. I wish one of the five on this panel had thought to mention it as an issue. Might have saved everyone some embarrasment.

Erm won't this make it more expensive and difficult to operate?

It saves money as they know people won't bother applying for it...

(It's also what i think a good use case of public sector AI would be for it to apply for benefits you are entitled to)
